Seminal band from Portland, USA formed in 77/78.
After playing gigs around their town, joining The Alternative Arts Association (an organization of Portland punk bands who were trying get their new music heard) only just in 1979 that Greg Sage of The Wipers decided to help them produce their first EP entitled, ladies and gentlemen "Afraid Of The Russians"!!!!

THE TIGHTS - (EP '78)

This band is so good!!!

Formed in Worcester,UK in1977 ,split in 1979 then reformed in 2004 and still playing here and there.
This single is the first one released by the legendary label Cherry Red in 1978 (CHERRY 1).

Needless to say it's A CLASSIC!!!

THE CONSUMERS - "ALL MY FRIENDS ARE DEAD"

Consumers were a great band from Phoenix, Arizona. Tight, snotty, angry punk rock with a sense of humor.

The 11 songs were recorded in 1 day on a 8-track demo studio back in 1977 and were never released until 1995 when "In The Red Records" released it on vinyl, which sold out right away, and in 2002 on CD.

One very good band coming out of Philadelphia, USA in the late 70's.
The highlights of this album are "After Last Night" , "Parasite" and "Teenage Jerk Off"

This is one of my favourite Polish punk bands, thanks for my girlfriend (maybe the number 1 fan) who introduced me to their music recently.

The band was formed in Warsaw in 1986 and split in 2001. After some gigs here and there they only released the first album in 1992.
Fast and melodic hardcore/punk.The original voice of the female singer Dominika and deep and poetic lyrics makes this band special.

CULTURE - "TWO SEVENS CLASH" (LP '77)

Pure classic reggae roots album! Their debut recorded in Kingston, Jamaica in '76 and released in '77.
One of the favourite with punks in the 70's, big influence to The Clash specially.
The title is a reference to the date 7 July 1977. Its based on a prediction by Marcus Garvey, who said there would be chaos on 7 July 1977, when the "sevens" met.
Chaos in 77? Think about it.

TOXOPLASMA - S/T (LP '83)

This one is special and bring good memories! Back in the day when I put my hands on a tape (Basf 60 min) with this album on it, my reaction was to hear the bloody thing over and over. Bear in mind that there was no internet, mp3 or things like that in the 80's, we used to tape and share via postal service and that was fun too!
A dark and raw kinda hardcore/punk. Perfect soundtrack for the apocalypse.The beggining of "SOS" still gives me the chills."Vakuum" and "1981" are my favourites.
German band released by the legendary label Aggressive Rock Productions in 1983.
A true classic!!

Yeah these guys again but this time with their second album. Not so "mean and ugly" like the first LP but very good as well! This nutters definitely were ahead of the time back in 78.
All songs are fucking brilliant, but I got my favourites, "Submmited to Violence" and "Gonna Be A Rat". Fucking A!!

DEATH - "FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE" (LP 2009)

Bloody hell...what a record!! I just received last week and cant stop listening to it.

This is the story: mid ’70s in Detroit, three black brothers (Dannis, Bobby and David Hackney) were into the Stooges, MC5 and Funkadelic. They decided to put a band together and the result is this blast in the form of a power trio. They self-released 500 copies of a 7" single “Politicians in My Eyes” b/w “Keep on Knocking,” on their Tryangle label in '75.
They recorded 7 songs from the same studio session, that were supposed to be released on LP, but Columbia Records asked the brothers to change the band's name...they said fuck off, and the record was never released until now, when the surviving songs were released in 2009 by Drag City Records.

Ok folks, opening my second attempt to make a cool blog.

The first one , also called electricfever, was created in 2001 and lasted till 2003 while I was living in Florida,talking about various subjects like the beach, thrift stores, punk records and Burger King.

For you kids and the old farts over 30...ENJOY!!

Great punk band formed in Hamburg , Germany in 1975.

This band's first release is just brilliant...pure snotty punk rock...one of my favourite records ever.

All 17 songs are great but my favourites are "Im a punk", "Kick her in the dirt" and the hilarious song "I'm Singing to You With My Finger in Your Ass".
